In achieving a complete integrated service, we have incorporated a Fabrication and Machining Shop which is able to handle the manufacture of both large and small fabrications and turned parts in all types of materials.
Our Refractory Engineering facility is able to carry out Design and Installation of all types of Refractory Systems from Low Mass Ceramic Fibres through castable refractory shapes and rammed cements to traditionally bricked structures.

Shown top left, (click to enlarge) our skilled Refractory Installation Engineers are depicted relining a Billet Reheating Furnace utilising traditional bricklaying skills and cast, insitu Quarls. Following on from casting and primary air drying, the Quarl is then kiln sintered to form a cohesive Monolithic Bond which is achieved by following an accurately derived drying out profile to comply fully with the formal constraints of ISO 9001.
Pictured right is the detailed manufacture of a large Burner Quarl in our Fabrication Shop. This is prior to passing through the Refractory Casting Plant in which 1,600 kilograms of high grade castable Refractory are precision cast utilising a Thermoplastic Former.
